On a number of Factory releases in the 1980s, designer Peter Saville experimented with the notion of how text could be conveyed as colors. On these records (New Order's Blue Monday, Power Corruption and Lies, and Confusion - as well as on Section 25's From the Hip), texts were displayed on the sleeve as a series of color encoded blocks (From The Hip's was done a little more creatively - look at the colors of the poles on the mountain.)
This little script will generate a message similar to that of Blue Monday's or PC&L's in SVG format. Be warned that numbers do not yet work (they will render into a grey box like a space or any other unknown character) - Saville's encoding scheme treats them a little strangely, and it's a little difficult to parse a multidigit number out of the script currently.
